Early in the morning downstream by houseboat to Tenggarong. Arrive at Tenggarong, visiting the former palace of Sultan Kutai Kertanegara. Where you will see the Sultan’s impressive collection of heirlooms, ceramics, Dayak’s art and culture items. Afterwards return to houseboat for downstream to Samarinda, check in at Mesra International hotel.

After breakfast a half day excursion by motorized canoe pass Ohong Creek to Mancong, during the cruise you could see wildlife like monkey’s and birds. Afternoon return to Muara Muntai and cruise up Mahakam River by houseboat to Melak. Overnight on the boat.
Day 04: MELAK, EHENG, OMBAU ASA (BLD)
Arrive in Melak then drive to Eheng by Jeep / Minibus passing beautiful highland to reach the old longhouse of Dayak Tunjung. Afterwards visit Kersik Luway and explore the forest, if lucky the famous black orchid can be seen. Afternoon to Ombau Asa waterfall, an exciting place for swimming. Return to Melak then board to the houseboat and downstream to Tenggarong.
Day 05: TENGGARONG, SAMARINDA (BLD)
Arrive at Tenggarong, visiting the former palace of Sultan Kutai Kertanegara. Where you will see the Sultan’s impressive collection of heirlooms, ceramics, Dayak’s art and culture items. Afterwards return to houseboat and downstream to Samarinda, check in at Mesra International hotel.

Day 04: LONG BIA, LONG PUNJUNGAN (BLD)
Full day cruise up Kayan River to Long Punjungan, you could enjoy the beautiful scenery along the river. Meals on the way at one of Dayak villages, which we will pass. Overnight at local house in Long Punjungan or a nearby village.
Day 05: LONG PUNJUNGAN, LONG ALANGO (BLD)
After breakfast in the morning by long boat cruise the river to Long Alango for about 5- 6 hours, on the way you will see many villages where the Dayak Kenyah and Dayak Punan tribe still live in their traditional way, meals and overnight at local house

After breakfast start trekking upriver to Long Berini area, or when the water level is to low we will hiking through the rainforest to Long Lame, meals provided on the way, overnight at camp or local house

After breakfast transfer to Airport for the flight to Tanjung Selor, upon arrival at Tanjung Selor check in at Hotel, afterwards a city tour, meals and overnight at Hotel.
Day 03: TANJUNG SELOR, LONG BIA, KAYAN RIVER (BLD)
Fullday cruise upstream the Kayan River by long boat to Long Bia, on the way you will see rice plantations and forest, when you are lucky animals as Long Nose Monkeys and beautiful birds could be seen. If the water level is low a few rapids have to be crossed. Overnight at Losmen or Local house, meals provided on the way
Day 04: LONG BIA, NAHA GAMANG (BLD)
Full day cruise up Kayan River to Naha Gamang, while you could enjoy the beautiful flora & fauna along the river, crossing amazing rapids. Meals on the way, overnight at local house.
Day 05 & 06: NAHA GAMANG, TREKKING (BLD)
After breakfast in the morning going by long boat to cruise the river and start trekking in the rainforest, meals and overnight at Local house
Day 07: NAHA GAMANG, LONG BIA, TANJUNG SELOR (BLD)
After breakfast cruise downstream by motor canoe or long boat to Long Bia, then continue to Tanjung Selor, overnight at Hotel in Tanjung Selor, meals provided on the way.
Day 08: TANJUNG SELOR, BALIKPAPAN (B)
Breakfast, free at leisure, until your flight to Balikpapan airport where you can connect for your next destination.

Day 01: BALIKPAPAN ARRIVAL (LD)
Upon arrival at Balikpapan airport, meeting service and transfer by car to check in at Hotel in Balikpapan, evening free at leisure
Day 02: BALIKPAPAN, BERAU, DERAWAN ISLAND (BLD)
After breakfast transfer to Airport for the flight to Berau, upon arrival at Berau, transfer to harbor to boarding a boat and cross the Sulawesi Sea to Derawan Island.
Check in at Losmen, or local house, Lunch, afternoon possibility for snorkeling or Derawan village sightseeing.
Day 03 & 04: DERAWAN ISLAND, SANGALAKI ISLAND (BLD)
Early in the morning by fishermen’s boat to Sangalaki Island which is called the Capital of The Mantas Rays, many kinds of exotic fish could be seen in this area like the Mantas, Napoleons, purple sea horses, tunitates, dwarf scorpion fishes, and not to forget the Coral Sea Garden which is still in tact. In the night we could explore the Turtle bay. Overnight at the Simple Sangalaki Resort or Local house, meals provided on the way.
Day 05: SANGALAKI ISLAND, TARAKAN, BALIKPAPAN (BL)
After breakfast start our trip cross the sea by simple fishermen’s boat to Tarakan Island for the return flight to Balikpapan, from where you can connect for your next destination.
